Sasha Stern is an award-winning internationally acclaimed concert pianist who has toured in several countries. She began her musical journey at age 5 and is a third-generation musician. At 8, she won a prestigious J.S. Bach Piano Competition. She holds a BA in jazz piano from the State College of Arts in Russia and both a Master’s and Post Master's from the Rachmaninoff Conservatory, where she studied musicology, composition, and music theory. Sasha taught jazz ensemble and arrangement at Rostov College of Arts for 13 years, and her students are now professional musicians performing and teaching around the world.
Sasha has worked for prestigious companies including the Boston Ballet and Steinway Steinert & Sons. She has toured as music director of the L'Chaim Music Group and currently serves as the ballet pianist and Adjunct Professor at Dean College's Palladino School of Dance and as the Music Director at UC Church in Mendon, MA. Sasha also teaches piano at her own Music Studio, using her innovative piano, ear training and composition methods.
In 2022, Sasha won first prize for piano solo and first prize for Sasha Band ensemble in an international piano competition in Spain.
Sasha Stern has more than 30 years of international teaching experience. Many of her students have gone on to become professional working musicians in various countries.
Sasha Stern has participated in festivals and international competitions as a solo pianist. She also performs at weddings and corporate events. Her solo performances include a variety of genres and styles.
Sasha Band plays a variety of styles and genres, including light jazz, Great American Songbook, blues, bossa, and others. They perform around the New England area.
